Maailmassa monta on ihmeellistä asiaa...

Huijaripaita saa masun näyttämään todellisuutta isommalta. :P

A true miracle has happened in my Wonderworld; we are expecting a baby Müller to join our little family in September. <3

Even the baby still has a lot of growing to do in the belly, I wanted to share these news with you, as most of my brain capacity nowadays goes in all the baby stuff.

Last Thursday we got to see our little one in an ultrasound. Everything was fine, he seems healthy and growing according to plan. The second biggest question after the health was obviously the sex of the baby. My mama instincts were right and it is a baby boy. :)

Vuosipäivä & paikallisten aikataulujen opettelua.

Kulttuurishokki, tai mikä lie mielenhäiriö, näyttäisi olevan selätetty tällä erää. Mieli on ollut parempi perjantaista asti. Ehkä julkinen purkautuminen asiasta helpotti. :P

Vuosipäiväähän piti tietysti juhlistaa asianmukaisesti, joten lauantaiaamuna suunnistettiin kuohari-brunssille paikallisen hienostokauppakeskuksen hienostoleipomoon.

Sama homma tuli todistettua eilen alkaneella saksan kurssilla, jonka senkin piti alkaa kello 9.

On Saturday we celebrated our 3rd anniversary. It's funny how it feels like we've been together much longer, so much has happened and we know each other so well. But still almost everyday I learn something new about my better half. :) We like to treat each other well, some small everyday pampering, that makes you feel loved. It can be ready prepared nice dinner, some shoulder massage or maybe letting the other one sleep a little longer in the morning while the other cleans after Kuba and prepares the morning coffee. I think these small things are actually the glue that keeps us happily together. I hope we'll have many, many more happy years together ahead of us. <3

And now to the celebration part; we had nice "champagne" brunch at the fanciest shopping mall in town, and after that we pampered ourselves a bit more at the poolside and spa of Emin Pasha Hotel. Such a lovely, relaxing day, and the remaining rest of my culture shock just faded away.

(We learned that we still have some adjusting to do, what comes to the local sense of time. The brunch was supposed to start at 9am, we were there half past, but the food was only ready after 10am. Oh, well.... ;))

Travelling is the salt of my life

Jaahas, mihinkäs tämä aika taas on juossu?! Neljä viikkoa lomaa takana, joihin on sisältynyt mielettömästi ihania muistoja, herrrkullista ruokaa (mehudietillä tästä hetkestä jouluun, kiitos...), monia uusia paikkoja, mahtavia näkymiä, hurjasti aurinkoa ja mikä tärkeintä, rakkaita ihmisiä.

Time passes quickly when you have fun, eh? Four weeks of holidays, hundreds of new memories, loads of sun and delicious food, new cities, amazing views and most importantly, our beloved people. Finland, Germany and Italy, pit stops in France and Austria, countless cities, thousands of kilometres. Whoa! What a summer! And it's not ending; it will continue in our new home at the Equator.

On Wednesday we will fly to Kampala and start building our  every day life there (and maybe rest a bit). Until the travel fever catches us and we are urged to explore new places again. ;)

I will try to post some pictures as soon as someone goes thru them. :P

Täydellinen päivä.

The big day is behind us and we are happily married for almost 4 days. Despite of the stormy weather forecasts and us both being ill, the day was perfect. I think the most important factor was that we decided we are going to enjoy it no matter what, and so it was the best party ever! At least for us. But also our guests seemed to have enjoyed the party a lot. :)

The most amazing thing in the whole wedding was the fact that so many people from all around Europe and even from US wanted to be there for us and celebrate our marriage. I still cannot believe it and thinking about it makes me cry of gratitude and joy. :') I am a big cry baby sometimes, but I don't like crying in public, so in the wedding I actually did not. But there was few moments where it was very difficult to keep my calm. The first moment was when me and my dad walked down the stairs and I saw all of my loved ones gathered there waiting for us. The second time was during the ceremony when we said our "vows" to each other and the third when my dad performed one of my favourite songs. At the wedding party the most touching moments were obviously my dad's speech and our first dance. I cannot believe how well both my dad and the singer of the band, who does not speak German, were entertaining the German guests. Amazing! It gives me some pressure to go ahead and try it too. :D

All in all, I enjoyed wedding planning a lot, and I would easily do it all over again. I did not have much stress and the stress I did have was maybe that healthy kind that everyone should face sometimes. Maybe I will become a party planner, hehe. :D There is not much in our wedding I would change, thanks to the people we hired and our friends who helped us just from pure awesomeness, the whole day went very smoothly. The one and only thing I would change would be to have a microphone in our ceremony, but that is pretty small detail, isn't it? ;) (As a tip for future brides and grooms I would also recommend leaving some air to the planning schedule for surprises, like a week long flu ;)) The dress and my hair were gorgeous, the groom was perfect, guests were awesome, cake, flowers and the band were amazing, food was delicious, drinks were enough and as much as we've seen so far the photographer is truly talented.

THANK YOU ~ KIITOS ~ DANKE :* :*

Rakkauskirjeitä

I wrote this text already week ago, but "did not have time" to finish it. This is in Finnish, so I'm sorry for you guys who won't be undestanding it... I will write short description in the end to feed your curiosity. ;)

Sitten tapasin erään saksalaisen, hurmaavan hymyn omistavan miehen.

Meidät on luotu toisillemme. <3

This is basically a love letter to my handsomer half. Unfortunately he won't understand it at least not in a while ;) I had to kiss few frogs before meeting my prince, who taught me what real love is. He is my other half, who I could not live without anymore. We can do anything, if we do it together.

“How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.” *

This week has been extraordinary, very different from the normal work, gym, cooking, dvd-cycle which I happen to like very much, but it's good to shake up things sometimes. :P First of all I only had two days of work, and after Wednesday's office I got to start my long-time-waited mini-holiday. The reason for the holiday was that I had the pleasure of welcoming my very dear friend, my maid of honor for a visit. Last time we met was in March, quite exactly half a year ago. And oh gosh, there was a lot to talk about ! I really would have wanted her to stay I was almost planning to call her work and tell that she is on sick leave or something, but unfortunetaly after two wonderful days I had to let her go for now. (I hope that my newest acquaintance Whatsapp will help us to keep in touch more often. I have given up with the never-ending flood of new social networking apps and web sites, but this seems pretty useful. :))

Let's say, I've been very satisfied in the life situation that I have now, I might say that I'm actually happier than ever, but having a good friend over reminded me about the importance of having friends and keeping in touch with them. (Because who am I kidding, I have not tried my best lately). Nothing can compare to a friend who knows where you are coming from, who knows all the darkest secrets which I of course don't have, and to whom you can tell things that the boyfriend does not want to hear :P It's so refreshing to get other perpective on things that are going on in your life.

I know I'm not the best in keeping friends, and especially now when I'm living far away from them, it's very challenging. Even we have all the possibilities with internet to form friendships even without ever meeting. Still it seems somehow difficult with the friends you used to meet face to face. Luckily, with good friends it always feels like we met just last week, even it was six months ago.

And I guess it is normal that friendships come and go, but there is some I wish would stay forever.

I guess I am kind of unsocial person, I like to be with me and myself and I've never had huge group of friends. But now that I'm so used to being with another person feeling of loneliness hits harder than it did before. We, me and Wolfi have been together very tightly since I moved here, but today he left for training in Berlin. Now I realize how much I would want a friend whose door I could just knock anytime. I guess tomorrow I should start making some... ;)

Our Sunday breakfast

I was trying to figure out things that I like to do and cannot do with my boyfriend. Now I would finally have time for those things. But after two days of thinking zero things came to my mind. I guess we are just one of those yuckily sweet couples who loves to do everything together. ;)

Ok well, I can do two things: I can watch TV-series with Finnish subtitles (or of course Finnish TV-series, but no thanks :D I know, I'm so unpatriotic) and I can eat Turkin Pippuri as much as I want without anyone complaining how my kisses taste bad.

"Treasure, that is what you are. Honey, you're my golden star."

You remember when I told about the photoshooting? We got the pictures almost two weeks ago, but I was just too busy to put them here. But now I will, because I want to show all of you how cute we are no, modesty is not one of my strenghts ;).

Actually we were so happy with the photos that we asked the photographer to take the wedding pictures! Even she lives in London. We will see if this plan will become true, or if we'll come to our senses and hire someone who is already here. :D

New theme colour love.

What kind of woman would be a woman who wouldn't change her mind? None-existent.

I have found a new love for the colour theme of the wedding already approved by the fiance ;).
The old inspiration was slightly different.

Our wedding venue.

As I have mentioned before, our wedding take place here in Wroclaw. I've already heard few comments wondering why here (especially from my Polish friends). You see, in Poland it is apparently a tradition to have the wedding in bride's home town.

Well, we have few (good) reasons why it will be Wroclaw:
  • it's almost as far from both of ours home
  • everything is cheaper (so much more food & booze!)
  • we live here, so it's easier to organize all
  • and it's the place were we fell in love
Enough reasons already...? ;)

When we first started to think where exactly the wedding would take place, we were checking some wedding venues close to Wroclaw. The plus in these places would be that they have ready packages with food, music etc. so it should be quite easy. And someone has already thought that the place is suitable for wedding.

Well, we decided we don't want easy. :D you see, it is also a minus if everything is ready. There's not so much space for personality then. Plus it's expensive (even here).

So my fiancé had an idea - we could have the wedding at his work. Now, I know, this sounds terrible. But his office building is not the common one. It's huge, very old, almost castle like, house. With a pretty garden. First I was not sure about this idea, but when I started to think it more I started to really like it: it's close, it's free (almost at least), we can decide which catering we want to use, the band, decoration, everything! More work for us of course, but the wedding will be truly "us". :)

We have already asked whether our idea would be possible. And the boss said yes! So now we are only waiting for the very final decision, but it looks good.

The plan would be to have both the ceremony and the party after in the garden. In case of some rain we would have one or two tents, so that the dining and ceremony "areas" would be covered. And if it's really stormy or freezing (should not be in June, but never say never) we could also be inside.

How did it happen?

Now I'm sure at least some of you are dying to know how it happened. The engagement I mean. So I will ease your curiosity and reveal some parts.

The ingredients were:
-home, just before going for our "1 year living together"-dinner
-huuuuge bouquet of red roses
-the most beautiful speech I've ever heard
-my favourite love song "Ja" by Silbermond
-one very nervous boyfriend <3

As I don't ever wear jewelry, my boyfriend wanted to ask me whether I would like to have a ring or not. We decided that we want to show everybody that we belong to each other, so the next day we bought very beautiful rings for both of us. I'm still getting used to wear the ring, but I have to admit that it looks very nice. <3
